Styling vintage lingerie and loungewear as everyday wear Lookbook
The inspiration for styling these pieces as everyday wear comes from two places: the GTO’s and Courtney Love.
The incredible GTO’s, which stands for girls together outrageously, was an all-girl group in the late ‘60s. Their style was very bohemian and romantic, and rock and roll, obviously. I absolutely love the overall self-expression groupie look! These girls were wearing vintage in the late ‘60s! They were so ahead of their time and had an amazing free-spirit vibe. I will always be obsessed with the way they dressed and their overall attitude!
Courtney Love, the ultimate grunge rocker, looks like an amazing distressed baby doll, something I certainly relate to. I love how her style will always be a mixture of gentle with harsh grunge. I'm a giant Courtney Love fan.
Ultimately my inspirations are bohemian mixed with a gentle baby doll grunge. The pieces I combined for this lookbook vary. I wanted to be able to wear these pieces out casually, so I included a lot of blazers and belts, mixed with slips, nightgowns, half slips used as skirts, and camis.
Honestly, this look book is just an explosion of inspiration working with what I had and mixing these pieces with everyday vintage wear.
