What I love most about this picture is the sass in the middle of what seemed to be a hopeless situation.
This was my second MRI for an injury that 3 doctors could not properly diagnose. It was after this MRI that surgery was recommended since I had been battling this for over a year at the time. I didn't go through with the surgery though.
Backstory, this injury started in May 2018, I had a sharp pain in the middle of my glutes and from then on it progressed to hip pain and then groin pain. I sought a few opinions, did multiple x-rays and MRIs but no one could really diagnose the problem. I was depressed cos this was supposed to be my time to build my body so I could look the part of a CPT. But instead I was gaining weight and sliding deep into depression. .
But you know what, I REFUSED TO STAY DOWN! Even though I felt defeated physically, I developed myself mentally and got my certification. And you know what, my clients don't care what my body looks like, they trust me for my knowledge and the hard work I put in both mentally and physically. I'm still battling the injury, but I push through, still believing for my miracle!
All this to say, there's always something positive you can be building or working towards during "negative" times! During these uncertain times that seem like a giant roadblock, what are you doing to come out of it winning?
